I was promoted in my job yesterday and I’m going to a job fair today. It’s going to be fun to attend this hiring event without begging for a job. I don’t have to get excited and hopeful just because I received a business card. I don’t have to accept that ”create a profile and apply online” line. I don’t have to plaster my resume all over the job fair and pray someone finds me interesting enough to give me a foot-in-the-door job. I don’t need another job; I want one. And that’s why today is going to be awesome :-)
I use my introversion as a reason to have only a few friends. I could have more but I don’t want the responsibility of being that ”good friend” to so many people that I don’t have any alone time.
I need to change that because people need a good friend. And when they can’t find a good one, they’ll settle for a bad one. No one deserves that.
I just read this scripture when I was studying with my sister.

I didn’t understand how terrible working for a scholarship was back then. SMH
