He is Alive…Why are We Still Dead?

Now we just left a beautiful Easter service. Why is my family talking about being afraid to shake people’s hands because of AIDS and other germs? Seriously! Jesus conquered death and you fear disease?

Did you miss the whole point of the service? Have faith…not fear. We’re more than conquerors.

Here I Am, Inspired.

Since my breakup last Wednesday, I’ve been on a journey to get back to bring myself (who I am in God). After receiving the forgiveness for my sins and recommitting my life to God, I’m getting back to my happy place. Although the challenges in my life aren’t easier, God gives me the strength and courage to accomplish the necessities and much more.

I’m studying, dancing, writing and being more social. I’m following my interests and I have faith in my future. I’m most thankful for how God is using me to help others. For many years, I wanted to have a reliable friend that would perfectly time the right words to comfort me. I found that friend in a close relative and I’m thankful that I can be that friend to someone else. As great as it feels to be helped, it’s a much greater feeling to be the helper.

Remember, trust God for His promises are true.

James 1:5-6 →

If any of you need wisdom, you should ask God, and it will be given to you. God is generous and won’t correct you for asking. But when you ask for something, you must have faith and not doubt. Anyone who doubts is like an ocean wave tossed around in a storm.

By Faith, I Believe.

James 1:2-8

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Lord, thank you for the trials that make me strong. By faith, you shall sustain me til the end. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Hebrews 11:3

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Sovereign God, Creator of All, daily You bestow upon me the assurance of your existence. Thank you.

1 Peter 1:8,9 & 13

Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

Father, though I am mocked like your Son for they understand not that which they cannot see, You are my provision and comfort through the scorn. With thanksgiving I praise you for the ability to see beyond the realms of this world into the paradise that is Your glorious kingdom. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

"Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone."
